There’s been a lot of aerial activity across the district over the last couple of days, with helicopters toing and froing and carrying strange cargos on the end of long cables.
Not far down Woodlands Rd, Gordonton, N8N came across a team of these fellows in what looked like spacesuits. These are, we understand, Faraday suits, threaded with stainless steel, and cost around $5000 each. They protect their wearers, known as live liners, from electrocution as they work on the country’s high-voltage transmission lines.
Quite what the cows made of this is anyone’s guess.
