Gordonton and Cambridge detour planned

Motorists travelling between Gordonton and Cambridge on State Highway 1B can expect a detour via local roads on Tuesday 17 February.

The detour, from 6am to 8pm, will allow contractors to replace a culvert just north of Amber Lane on Telephone Rd, says the NZ Transport Agency.

South-bound traffic will be diverted at Puketaha Rd to Seddon Rd, Waverley Rd and Holland Rd, and will re-join SH1B at Marshmeadow Rd.

North-bound traffic will turn right from Marshmeadow Rd to Holland Rd and re-join SH1B at Puketaha Rd via Waverley Rd and Seddon Rd.

Signs will be in place on Puketaha Rd and Marshmeadow Rd. Vehicle access to and from local properties will be maintained at all times.

The work is weather dependent and may be postponed if necessary.
