Our market is back!

Smiles to be had...
Smiles to be had…

After a relaxing break over winter, the Gordonton Country Market is back in all its glory. Hukanui Park will once again come alive to the sounds and sights of a bustling country market on Saturday 12 September.

The Spring market offers everything from seasonal fruit and vegetables to imaginative art and craft, talented buskers, face painters and delicious cooked food. Did we mention the great coffee and Devonshire tea to be had?

As well as some of the regulars, there will be a variety of new stall holders this time bringing the best of local right to our door.LRfabric

Behind the scenes the committee has been busy, there are two new members now – a big welcome to Audrey Stanley and Tina Steunebrink, who are both full of enthusiasm to get started.

There are still a few spots for stallholders – so if you’ve been thinking of selling at the market, get in touch with a committee member to find out more. Volunteers would be useful for the tearoom and barbecue but otherwise it’s all looking good to go.
