Tamahere MarketOur markets may be taking a rest, but if you like fresh produce, culinary treats and crafts, check out the fabulous Tamahere Market.

The popular market, south of Hamilton, offers everything from seasonal fruit and vegetables to imaginative art and craft, local wine, delicious cooked food, including Indian vegetarian meals, Cornish pasties, Dutch biscuits and Kiwi mussel fritters, fresh and smoked fish, bacon, sausages and salami, cupcakes, cakes and biscuits, chocolate, olive oil, jam, chutney and relish, cheese, bread and pastries, fruit juice, great coffee, collectibles, woodwork, clothing, jewellery, toys, glass art, plants, garden art and much, much more.

Held on the third Saturday of every month from 8.30am to 1pm, the market can be found in the St Stephe’s Church grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, just off State Highway 1.

Tamahere Market dates for 2016 are June 18, July 16, August 20, September 17, October 15, November 19, December 3 Twilight Market from 4-8pm, and the regular Saturday morning market December 17.
