Recall on Rototuna sausages

SausagesNew World Rototuna is recalling specific batches of their Honey Mint and Rosemary Lamb sausages.

The produce may contain plastic pieces, says the Ministry for Primary Industries.  Sausages with Best Before Dates of  05/07/17, 08/07/17, 09/07/17 and 12/07/17 are being recalled.

The Ministry advises customers check the date marking on the sausages, which are sold on clear, plastic trays.

“Affected products should not be consumed.  There have been no reports of injury,  however if you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.”

The sausages are only sold at the Rototuna supermarket and does not affect any other products from any other New World or New World Rototuna products.

Customers should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.

Rototuna’s brand of handcrafted sausages happen to be one of Number 8 Network’s absolute favourites.  We are certain this is a small problem which will be fixed very soon.  In the meantime, try their plain beef sausages – delicious!
