The Pick of the Crop

Number 8 Network has been busy lately – a new issue of Home Range magazine will be sent out next week in all good rural letterboxes!

But here are some pics that warmed our heart.  First up, a big Happy Birthday to the Mandarin Tree.  Claudia Aalderink says it’s been a glorious four years of New Zealand art – she took this photo to start the day.

Congratulations are also due to Lord Grey, the Gordonton alpaca who took third place in Intermediate Grey Males at the A & P show on the weekend.  He is shown here looking proud as punch, with Dave Blom from Cornerstone Alpaca Stud.

Speaking of alpacas, it’s shearing time at Cornerstone.

And another Ag Day has come and gone – here are some pics from Horsham Downs School

How about this rain, eh.  (More forecast tomorrow!)  At Great Beginnings the kids have been making the most of it. “The children made mud angels, were tractors stuck in the mud, giving each other a back massage, making cookies, you name it the imagination was was working overtime. To finish off the children got a rinse off with the hose, while a warm tub waited for them, and the washing machine for their clothes.”  Great stuff!

And to end – it’s back to the A & P Show.  Can you spot Number 8 Network’s Annette Taylor in this pic? (Don’t worry, she’s not giving up her day job.)
