Meet the team:
Annette Taylor has more than 20 years’ experience in journalism, and has written too many news, profiles and feature articles for the Waikato TImes, NZ Herald, NEXT magazine, the Hamilton Press and national rural newspapers including Rural News, Straight Furrow, National Farming News and many others.
She has lived in Gordonton for three decades and for a small amount of that time was involved with the milking of cows.
You can email Annette here.
Celebrations! Wintec journalism student Ciaran Warner has joined the editorial team at Number 8 Network while completing his degree. Ciaran loves Gordonton and has lived here for five years. Keep an eye out for him stalking the village on the scent of a story. Do say hi.
Check out some more of his work here.
Email Ciaran by clicking this handy little link.
Iris Riddell co-founded N8N in June 2011. She now writes full-time for the Taupo Times but maintains an interest in the rural going-ons around Gordonton and districts. Occasionally she will help by pointing out a missing comma in a story or some such. Youngsters.

Hamilton City Libraries heritage librarian Perry Rice writes our fortnightly history column, Perry’s Pics. For this he hunts out the finest photographs from the library’s collection of almost 15,000 images.
He recently completed a BA with a history of architecture component – all very interesting to a Dunedin lad. Perry would love to hear from you about anything historic, email him by clicking here.
Danny Mills is a freelance illustrator. He is the artistic talent behind Osborne here at N8N. He is currently working on a splendid series of oil paintings featuring native birds.
In his spare time, he enjoys travelling through the space/time continuum, saving the universe and meeting alien species. Contact him here.
