The next issue of our local magazine is under construction. Over the last many weeks stories have been written and photos taken for the next issue of Home Range – due out early Summer.

Launched last year, three issues of the magazine have been delivered to about 3000 rural letterboxes in the Gordonton, Puketaha, Orini and Horsham Downs areas.

The next issue is packed with profiles, features, country cooking, local history and as always the Page 3 tractor.

The magazine is made possible with support from Gordonton District Committee and the many wonderful local businesses who advertise with us. If you would like to advertise in the next issue, get in touch.

We will send out a story closer to the time about the magazine, but it’s a-coming. In the meantime, if you have a story or any news about our community for N8N – let us know.

Follow us on Facebook and you can also sign up to regular news emails from N8N.

If you missed it, click here for a digital link to the very first issue of Home Range.

Here’s a sneak photographic preview of some of the stories coming up:-

We talk with local bird rescuer Bill Smith and meet some of his friends –

And we get to the top of Taupiri Mountain – a real gem for keen walkers.

…and of course there is country cooking by Kate Wilson from Prof’s, a great historic photograph from Woodlands, a visit to a nearby school and much more.
