Pioneer Fundays is on!
The Woodlands Pioneer Fundays are on again these school holidays, with fun for the whole family.
Estate manager Kirstie Alley says the Woodlands team are looking forward to sharing their special place again, after so many events have been cancelled by Covid.
“Our friends from the Waikato Vintage Farm Machinery Club are returning with tractor rides, corn shucking and rope making.
“Enjoy a sausage fresh off the sizzle, thanks to Sacred Heart Girls College.”
“Sam (the pony) and his farm animal friends’ petting zoo are back on the cricket oval – enjoy your hot sausage or an ice cream from Mr Whippy while you queue for a pony ride.
Explore the gardens while playing the I-Spy game, what will you spy? Finally, dress up in Victorian clothing and take a photo inside the Homestead.
‘’It’s going to be great to welcome visitors back to the Estate to enjoy the gardens, fresh air and sunshine. We hope to see you here.”
• The Woodlands Pioneer Fundays run from Tuesday 19 April, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 April, 10am to 2pm at Woodland’s Estate, Whitikahu Rd, Gordonton.
