One dark morning in Gordonton…

It got very cold and eerie here in Gordonton for the eclipse but we managed to get this picture from Woodlands Rd, taken at10.25am Wednesday 14 November.

Earlier we headed to Food Connection and looked at it with Mich Dul – who had a welding helmet.

As backup, we used the old trick of smoking a piece of glass with a candle, and looking through that.  It worked really well.

The sun came and went through broken cloud, which added to the spectacle and made photography a little bit easier.

Stunning sight.
