WHAT RAIN? Judy Cole stands on what one day soon will be the Gavin Grain Pavilion, at Woodlands.
“It’s going to be a shelter or shade for visitors to Woodlands, so they can enjoy cricket games over the summer, and any other activity that goes on,” says Judy.

Construction started last month and progress has been rapid, says Judy, who runs Woodlands Cafe.
The space will allow more seating for the Cafe, and for private functions. “It will be open to the light and atmosphere at Woodlands, overlooking the oval. We can’t wait, in fact, I’ve had my first booking already.”

The Grand Opening is planned for early November.

“We’ve had ongoing extenstions to the cafe, and all this will be celebrated on that day. It’s going to be a great summer.”

Workers include long-serving volunteer Roger Jennings and new Woodlands board members Andrew Harward and Stu Gaylor.

Gavin Grain have contributed financially to the project, to help enhance Woodlands estate for the community.
