November markets will shine

a market sign at Hukanui parkThe sun is set to shine on this weekend’s Gordonton Country Market. More than 80 stallholders will be making the most of the day – serving up good cheer as well as a huge range of locally made art, and crafts, food and treats.

One of the highlights for the November market is Hamilton Christian School’s Enterprise Studies Group’s stalls, who will be selling quilt fabric bags, fudge, bees wax products, lollypops and wooden words of wisdom. Also on offer are creative teabags and the opportunity to design a mug as well as crafts made from horse shoes.

This month also sees eight new stallholders taking part, these include Bottoms Up deck chairs, Quirki Creations, Junkie Love, Plastered at the Beach and Hally’s face painting. The first six faces will be painted free, courtesy of the market committee.

Great food, coffee, fresh flowers, plants, crafts, toys, alpaca and leather products and much more – the November market is a great opportunity for Christmas shopping in a relaxing setting.

But wait – there is more!

The Rototuna Market follows on Sunday 15 November.  And yes, Santa will be there – free photos for young and old – plus crafts, music, face painting, treasure hunts…  85 Barrington Drive, Rototuna, from 10am to 2pm.  Verily a weekend of joy!
