Many hands make lighter work at Reserve

It’s been a wonderful year the Reserve at Pukemokemoke, says Alan Leadley.

The main loop tracks to the summit have been improved, and the Mangatea area of weed and privet infestation has been well and truly changed into an area of delightful paths and picnic facilities. Just a small section remains to be cleared and a track built to complete what will become a ‘lower loop track’ through the river flats.

On Saturday 15 December willing workers would be appreciated to make a start on the last bit of track/boardwalk and clear some of the remaining unweeded areas.

“I’d really value your efforts on this day, even if you only make it for a couple of hours. I’ll be there from 9am to 5pm and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible! Bring a pre-Christmas treat to share for refreshments/lunch.”

That sounds fantastic Graham! I’ve sent this comment directly to the wonderful Alan Leadley.
