Fun at Puketaha fair

Fun at the 2011 fairBigger and better than before, say organisers of this year’s Puketaha School fair. There will be a host of activities and treats, including farm rides, raffles, old treasures, homemade lemonade, balloons, sideshows, rock and rollers, buskers – and lots more.

One of the organisers says the children have been busy potting up and growing a range of plants from seed, organising small animals to come on the day, painting signs, collecting vouchers, bottles and lots of goodies.

“Our parents have done their share too – making jam, chutney and bottling fruit as well as a range of crafts from paper and fabric.  There’s heaps of extras this year, including the famous DB Clydesdale horses, as well as the Little Chief and Mooloo mascots.  We also expect some celebrities from rugby and rowing.”

The PTA hope to raise $20,000 for various improvements around the school.

“So come on out and enjoy a real country school fair this Saturday.   ‘The Puketaha School Country Fair – where town meets country.’”
