Dog Love: Meet Holly

Cherie Baker runs DC Rescue Dogs in Gordonton. Number 8 Network regularly showcases a special canine star in need of adoption.

There are so many  dogs to choose from, says Cherie. But she’s picked Holly, the pick of the litter at the moment.

"Model you say? I couldn't possibly disagree!"
“Model you say? I couldn’t possibly disagree!”

Holly was found abandoned; alone, hungry and exhausted as a very tiny pup.

She was taken to a rural shelter where they nurtured her back to health. She sat for weeks in her concrete pen, no one came to look at her or choose her. She saw many come and go but still she waited.
Holly hadn’t seen much of the outside world so we took her in.

Breed: mixed, looks to be lab/great dane?

Age: She is about four months old and already the size of a small Labrador so one day she will have legs like a model, with a big tail to knock over the wine glasses!

Holly is going from strength to strength. She is currently fostered on a lifestyle block, and is having a blast with the other dogs. She is okay with confident cats, and is used to seeing sheep every day.

This lovely girl will go to her new home desexed, fully vaccinated for parvo and kennel cough, microchipped, council registered 14/15. She has had her dew claws removed, is worm/flea treated and comes with her collar. An adoption donation of $250 to DC Rescue Dogs rescue account is asked to help recover part of her costs.

If you would like to meet Holly, email Cherie or phone her on 021 041 4108.Cherie Baker

DC Rescue Dogs is a non-profit organisation run by Cherie, at her own cost. Number 8 Network thinks she’s doing a fantastic job.

Finally, do you remember the fun-loving and gorgeous Autumn? Cherie says she living the luxurious urban life with a lovely family and another dog for company. Lucky girl.
