The next issue of our local magazine Home Range is due out next week.

Launched last year, three issues have been delivered free to about 3000 rural letterboxes in the Gordonton, Puketaha, Orini and Horsham Downs areas, and dropped off in cafes and businesses.

This Summer issue is packed with local profiles, articles, country cooking, history and as always the Page 3 tractor.  Get in touch with editor Annette Taylor if you have a local story to share!

The magazine is a publication from Number 8 Network, and made possible with support from Gordonton District Committee, Waikato District Council and the many wonderful local businesses who advertise with us.

Follow us on Facebook and you can also sign up to regular news emails from N8N.

Here’s a sneak photographic preview of some of the stories –

We talk with local bird rescuer Bill Smith and meet some of his friends – including Barry the kaka –

We venture into the shed of a collector of the finest vintage machinery in Puketaha –

And we get to the top of Taupiri Mountain – a real gem for keen walkers.

…and of course there is country cooking by Kate Wilson from Prof’s, a great historic photograph from Woodlands, a visit to a Orini School and much more.  Delivery starts from Tuesday 10 December and continues to the end of next week.

Cheers!
