Body found on Horsham Downs farm
A homicide investigation has been launched after a body was found in Horsham Downs.
A local farmer called the police on Monday after finding the man’s body, now identified as 40-year-old Sao Young, of Hamilton.
Police told RNZ they’ve completed a forensic examination and an investigation team is working to establish how he got to the farm.
Gail Riddell, a Gordonton local, was driving down Ballard Rd yesterday morning and saw three parked cars on the road – “There were about six cops walking along the drain on a farm, they seemed to be searching it.”
The NZ Herald says police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Sao Young in and around Hamilton between early last month and Monday.

This is the second body found in Gordonton in recent times, murdered Australian tourist Sean McKinnon’s body was inside a van dumped on Puke Rd last August.
