Gordonton School gives heart foundation cheque

Last week Gordonton School presented a cheque to the NZ Heart Foundation.

At a whole school assembly $2500 was handed over to the charity.

It began in 2019 when senior students won a defibrillator at the AIMS games, Mt Maunganui.

Then last year the school raised $3500 to buy a cabinet so the defibrillator could be housed outside for the community to use if needed.

Signs are now up at the front of the school, and the defibrillator is outside the school office.

The left-over money was presented to the Heart Foundation.
