UPDATE: The Red Cross Book fair is cancelleddue to the Level 2 covid-19 alert.

The Red Cross Book Fair is back.

Covid-19 forced the cancellation of the 2020 event but this year the popular event is back in the fundraising business.

The 24th book fair will be held from March 5 to 7 at the Te Rapa Racecourse.

The Red Cross Book Fair is a big event for book lovers across the region. It helps raise funds to support the work of New Zealand Red Cross in communities in New Zealand and around the world.

Over three days tens of thousands of books, well sorted and categorised, are up for sale at incredibly low prices, including the popular $1 room and unique books at the collector’s corner.

It’s an opportunity to take the family, stock up on some fantastic reading or find presents.

Opening times are Friday, March 5, 9am – 6pm, Saturday, March 6, 10am – 4pm, and Sunday, March 7, 10am – 3pm.

And don’t forget to call in on our very own Book Box in Gordonton Village – drop a book off, pick one up!
