Look and think sharp for quiz night

Aug 10th, 2011 | By | Category: News, Out & About

What is the air velocity of an unladen swallow? What is the capital of Nicaragua?  If you know the answer to these, or think you do, you’ve obviously watched too much Python.  However, a quiz night at Horsham Downs may well be up your alley.

The quiz questions will be varied and challenging, but not too challenging, say the Horsham Downs School Parents Association.

And it’s all for a good cause – the evening is a fundraising event and proceeds will be used to enhance the school environment and provide shelter for students through planting trees.

Tasty food platters (think gourmet) are included in the cost of the $20 ticket. The bar will be open, bring cash (no eftpost available).

Mystery Prize Balloons will be available to purchase – every balloon wins a prize.  Speaking of which, there will be many fantastic prizes in an auction, including a family holiday package.

But wait – there’s more. The evening is fancy dress, with a TV character theme.  So polish up your sonic screwdriver, or brush off your Xena battle gear – the best costume gets a prize.

The Quiz Night is at the Horsham Downs Community Hall, on Saturday August 27, from 7pm.
