Comedian enjoys a good cuppa

Dai Henwood is coming to town, and, says the Waikato Times, the comedian will be heading for Gordonton’s Zealong Tea House.

He is, it turns out, very fond of tea – his dad is Welsh so he grew up drinking it – and he spent some time in Japan, where he discovered the joys of green tea.

“I actually always carry a lot of tea with me. I find it’s the perfect hangover cure and you can get some dodgy teas in motels.”

The paper says he is very keen to check out the oolong tea grown at the Zealong Tea House.

Henwood and fellow cast members are on the road with their current-events comedy show 7 Days, with shows in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton, Napier, Whanganui and New Plymouth.

7 Days Live is at the Clarence St Theatre on November 30. But be quick, it is almost sold out.
