Anyone for tennis?

Calling all locals – the Gordonton Tennis Club needs you. The Business House Competition kicks off on the last week of March and it would be great to have more men’s teams taking part, says Club captain Jenny Smith.

This could be you!

“We’d love to have some more men for Tuesday night, we currently have only one or two teams.

“There must be some able-armed residents and their friends or neighbours who want to get together and make up a team.”
The competition runs for six weeks, with a two-week break over the school holidays. It costs just $140 per team – with quality inexpensive burgers and refreshments available for purchase.
“It’s social, it’s great exercise as well, they will be good games. We’re finalising the prizes, but will have great prizes for the winners and runners-up.”
Jenny has been involved with the club for about 10 years.
“It’s great. We’ll continue with a social game each Tuesday after this event, these are good games too.
“We’re serious about our tennis in Gordonton.”

    Hi Max

We do play during the winter too on Tuesdays 6.30pm, however, as a lot of the players are farmers it does tend to stop over calving time. You are more than welcome to come and check us out!
