Future planning in and around Ngaruawahia

Residents from Taupiri, Ngaruawahia, Glen Massey and Horotiu are being invited to one of four information days where they can share their views about long term development in their towns.

Waikato District Council is working on a structure plan for this area, with the information days the first steps in developing a long-term framework.

The information days offer an opportunity for residents to find out more about what is involv1ed with the process, to share their views, and decide if they wish to be more involved by being part of a reference group.

Tony Whittaker, general manager Strategy and Support, says council is keen to hear from residents about how they would like to see their area develop.

“Come along and learn about the opportunities and constraints in this area, share your views with our planning team, and if you want to play a bigger part then join up to be a member of the reference group.”

The same information will be shared at each session:

Wednesday 14 August, Glen Massey School, 3-7pm
Thursday 15 August, Ngaruawahia Memorial Hall, 2-7pm
Wednesday 21 August, Horotiu School Hall, 3-7pm
Thursday 22 August, Taupiri War Memorial Hall (Greenlane Hall), 3-7pm
